I am Shane, the publisher and editor behind Spire Builds. I started the site in early 2026 to turn scattered patch notes, game data, and long community discussions into fast, searchable Slay the Spire 2 reference pages. The goal is a useful decision tool, not a claim that one writer has solved every run.
Research Approach
Patch facts come from Mega Crit's official notes. Card, relic, potion, and monster fields are synchronized from Spire Codex and attributed on the relevant pages. Community discussion helps identify questions worth answering, but popularity is not treated as proof. When a page is analysis rather than hands-on testing, it is labeled as analysis.
What I Write
I write and maintain the site's guide structure, source notes, database connections, and editorial recommendations. I do not copy other guide sites or present an unverified community claim as personal experience. Patch-sensitive pages name their branch, and superseded pages are removed from current recommendations instead of being silently left in place.
